The article describes all possible ways of scrolling a chart.

Details

Scrolling allows you to move vertically and horizontally through a chart to view the chart prices and periods that are out of the viewing area.

Keyboard Scrolling

You can scroll a chart horizontally within the chart data by pressing the ARROW keys.

Also you can scroll a chart horizontally within the chart data by pressing the PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN keys. In this case the chart is scrolled back or forward approximately by the same number of periods as currently visible on the chart.

Moreover, you can scroll a chart to view the latest or the oldest period of the chart data using the HOME and END keys.

Mouse Scrolling

Mouse scrolling allows you to move both horizontally and vertically through the chart. Unlike keyboard scrolling, horizontal mouse scrolling can be used to add new periods to the chart. The new periods are downloaded automatically once the chart is scrolled out of the chart data.

To scroll a chart by mouse

  1. Point to the chart.
  2. Scroll the chart horizontally/vertically:

Automatic Scrolling

Automatic scrolling allows you to view the latest data as soon as they are received. Each time the latest period is added to the chart, the chart is scrolled automatically so that the latest period is displayed at the right border of the chart.

The automatic scrolling is enabled by default.

To disable/enable the automatic scrolling, do one of the following:

Scrolling to End

Scrolling the chart to the end allows viewing the last period of the chart.
