SHOWTIMETOEND (Show Time To End)

SHOWTIMETOEND (Show Time To End) is a convenience indicator that provides the time (in hours, minutes, and seconds or as a percentage) remaining till the end of the current period. In other words, it is a timer that counts down the remaining time till the closing of the current period and opening of a new one.

The indicator is presented as a text entry in the legend of the market price chart. Note that it can be displayed in an additional area below the chart, too.

On the following picture, you can see an example of the SHOWTIMETOEND indicator displayed both on the market price chart and in an additional area below it.



To apply a SHOWTIMETOEND indicator to a chart, a trader needs to follow the procedure common to all Marketscope indicators. For more information, see the Add Indicator article.

During the procedure, a trader can customize the indicator by specifying its parameters in the Show Time To End Properties dialog box.

To customize the indicator, on the Parameters tab under the Style heading, select values of your choice of the following parameters:

• Display - the parameter allows specifying the way the remaining time is presented in the indicator's entry. The possible values are Time, Percentage, and Both. The default value is Time.
• Font color - the parameter allows specifying the indicator's entry font color: click in the parameter's row, click the ellipsis button, and then, in the Color palette that appears, select a color of your choice.
