In this window you can view real time news from the RSS feeds to which you subscribe.

Details

The News window provides real time news received from the RSS feeds to which you subscribe.

• The number on the News tab provides the total number of unread news items in the window.
• All Subscriptions lists all the RSS feeds to which you subscribe. They can be organized into groups. All the feeds and groups of feeds are included in the default root group All Subscriptions. In the All Subscriptions list you can choose a feed or a group of feeds from which you want to view a news item.
• Manage opens the Manage Subscriptions dialog box. There you can subscribe to or unsubscribe from feeds, define settings for the feeds, and group feeds.
• Filter allows you to filter news topics by certain text.
• Topic provides the topic of a news item.

News items are organized into groups by their dates.

To see the name of the feed that provides a news item, as well as the date and time when the item was received, point to it.

To view the topic of a news item, double-click the news item line or click Show News Stories in the shortcut menu. The News Stories window appears. It contains the same information as the News window but it also has an area where the text of the selected news item and the link Open in new browser window are displayed.
