How to Open Strategy Optimizer

Details

In Marketscope, you can optimize any standard or custom strategy. The process allows to search for strategy parameters that are most profitable on certain past market data.

The special application for optimization provided by Marketscope is called Strategy Optimizer.

To optimize a strategy, do one of the following:

• On the toolbar, click the Optimize Strategy button.
• On the Alerts and Trading Automation menu, click Optimize Strategy.

The Strategy Optimize window appears.

There you should specify the account parameters, select strategy parameters to optimize, and choose a range of data and instruments to test. The strategy will be applied to the past market data, and you will see its results for different parameter sets on a graph and in a special table. Then you can save your optimization project including all the optimization parameters and results.

To open a saved optimization project, on the Alerts and Trading Automation menu, click Open Optimization Project.
