To be sure that the e-mail settings are configured correctly, you need to send and receive a test e-mail message. If the test e-mail message is not received, see the table of possible problems and solutions below. If the test e-mail message is received, continue with Step 8 of Configuring E-mail for Internet Service Providers.

Possible causes of problems

Solutions

The test e-mail message has not been delivered yet.

Wait for several minutes. The time needed to deliver an e-mail message depends on the e-mail and Internet service provider and may take up to 10 minutes or more.

The e-mail settings are specified incorrectly.

Check and, if necessary, correct the settings. Perform the instructions in the reverse order by clicking Back and checking the settings on the pages that appear. When all the settings are checked, return to the Test E-mail Message page by clicking Next.

The Internet connection is not working properly.

Check and, if necessary, restore the Internet connection.

The e-mail service is not working properly.

Check your e-mail by sending a test e-mail message from your mailbox and, if necessary, contact your e-mail provider technical support to solve the problem.
