Close All Buy/Sell Positions

Brief

This section describes all possible ways of closing all buy/sell positions for a symbol.

Details

To close all buy/sell positions for a symbol:

1. Do one of the following:

• In the Summary window, click the appropriate rate of the symbol for which you want to close positions (click the sell rate to close all buy positions or click the buy rate to close all sell positions).
• In the Summary window, right-click the row of the symbol for which you want to close positions, and then click Close to Sell to close all buy positions or Close to Buy to close all sell positions.
• On the Trading menu, point to Summary, and then click Close to Sell or Close to Buy.
  Note: Before you click the command, make sure that a row of a symbol is selected in the Summary window.
2. The Close Positions dialog box appears.
   
   
3. In the Amount (K) column, select or type the amounts to close.
   Note: Depending on the version of your trading station, you can see the Currency/Point column instead of the Amount (K) column in this dialog box. If necessary, you can change the Amount mode in Options. For details, see Change Amount Mode.
4. In the Order Type box, click the order type. For a Market Range order, select or type the range in the appropriate box.
   
5. In the Time In Force box, click the necessary Time-In-Force option.
6. Click OK.

All buy/sell positions for the selected symbol will be closed. Once the positions are closed, they will disappear from the Open Positions window and move into the Closed Positions window.
