The section explains how to backtest a strategy.

Details

For backtesting strategies, the Strategy Backtester application is used that simulates the trading process based on the selected strategy parameters, account parameters, and market data. You can backtest any standard or custom strategy installed on your computer.

Notes:

• In the FXCM Trading Station, a custom strategy can be installed by using the Import Extensions command of the Alerts and Trading Automation menu. For more information, see the Import Extensions article in the Marketscope help.
• A strategy can be backtested with any set of parameters received in the result of the strategy optimization. For details, see the Strategy Optimizer help.
