You can backtest a strategy in the Cloud. The Cloud is some remote environment in FXCM where data can be stored and operations performed.
As compared to a computer, the Cloud has more powerful calculating possibilities. The advantages of strategy backtesting in the Cloud are:

• It allows backtesting strategies on a greater historical data range and with greater number of instruments tested at a time.
• Backtesting of strategies is performed faster.
• Strategies uploaded to the Cloud can be accessed from the FXCM Trading Station installed on any computer or from other web or mobile clients/applications.
• Backtesting results can be stored in one place and shared easily.

To backtest a strategy, it needs to be uploaded to the Cloud first. Once backtested, its results can be shared. If need be, a strategy can be removed from the Cloud. For more information, see the articles below. Note that you can backtest a strategy in the Cloud only from the FXCM Trading Station.
