Trading History on Chart

Brief

This section describes how trading history is displayed on the chart and how to show/hide it.

Details

Viewing your trading history on charts allows you to analyze your past trades and evaluate the effectiveness of your strategies.

Each closed position is shown by:

When you point to a marker, both position markers are highlighted, a connector and a tooltip are displayed. The tooltip indicates the position trade operation (Long or Short), whether the marker shows the position opening or closing (Open or Close), open and close prices of the position, and its profit/loss.

When more than one trade operations of one kind (buy or sell) were performed during one period, the trading history is shown a bit differently:

Note: When both trading history and open position markers are shown on the chart and positions were both closed and opened in some period, instead of a number of markers, a larger marker is shown to indicate all operations of one kind for the period (buy operations are shown by a larger upward arrow, sell operations are shown by a larger downward arrow). In this case a profit/loss label shows only profit/loss of closed positions. When you point to the marker, you see a tooltip with average open and/or close prices and profit/loss of positions opened and closed in the period.
