The article describes the toolbar and its buttons and icons.

Details

The toolbar is a string of buttons and icons located at the top of the FXCM Trading Station desktop.



It contains the following buttons and icons providing access to the most popular tools and commands:

• Sell opens the Create Market Order dialog box that allows creating a sell market order opening a position immediately. For more information, see Open Position.
• Buy opens the Create Market Order dialog box that allows creating a buy market order opening a position immediately. For more information, see Open Position.
• Stop/Limit opens the Stop/Limit Order dialog box that allows adding, changing, and removing stop/limit orders of a position. For more information, see Add Stop/Limit Order to a Position, Change Stop/Limit Order, and Remove Stop/Limit Order.
• Close opens the Close Position(s) dialog box that allows closing a position. For more information, see Close Position.
• Entry opens the Create Entry Order dialog box that allows creating an Entry Order. For more information, see Create Entry Order.
• Trading Settings opens the Trading Settings dialog box that allows changing the trading mode and settings. For more information, see Change Trading Settings.
• Strategies opens the New Strategy or Alert dialog box that allows choosing and starting a strategy or alert of your choice as well as importing custom strategies.
• Symbols opens the Manage Symbol Subscription dialog box that allows choosing symbols in the symbol subscription list for which you receive prices and which are displayed in the Dealing Rates window. For more information, see Manage Symbol Subscription.
• Report opens the Report Parameters dialog box that allows getting a report about your account. In the dialog box, you can specify the time period for which you want to get a report, choose to view your account status and activity on a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis. The report itself presents key account information, such as records of floating positions, completed trades, and so on. It is presented in a format ideal for printing. • Research opens the FXCM company site providing information about the company and its services.
• Apply Now opens the FXCM company site on the Get Started page where you can register a new account.
• Chat opens the FXCM company site on the Live Chat page.
• Create Chart opens the Create Chart dialog box that allows creating a chart. For more information, see How to Open a Chart for a Symbol.
• Enter to Trade Simulation Mode opens the Simulation Mode message box that allows switching to Simulation Mode. For more information, see Simulation Mode.
• Backtest Strategy opens the Strategy Backtester application that allows backtesting strategies. For more information, see the Strategy Backtester Help.
• Optimize Strategy opens the Strategy Optimizer application that allows optimizing strategies. For more information, see the Strategy Optimizer Help.
• Send Feedback opens the Send Feedback dialog box that allows sending of text messages to the FXCM customer services or contacting them directly.
